It was fantastic to be part of Nottingham Council‘s Ultra Low Emission Vehicle Business Workshop at Trent Vineyard Conference Centre. The event was organised by Cleantech Business and was part of a programme of events to promote the uptake of electric vehicles by Nottingham businesses.
Chris from EV Charging Solutions gave a talk entitled Installing Charging Points – Key Considerations. The presentation focussed on the practical aspects of having electrical vehicle charge points installed at commercial locations. Considerations were given to electrical capacity, location, cable routes and identification of parties involved.
Other companies that attended included Boots, Experian and Loomis. Attendees had the chance to test drive the new Nissan Leaf N Connecta 40KW and a Kia Soul EV, thanks to Fleetdrive Electric.
This was a series of 26 events the council are supporting to assist the uptake of electric vehicles. The Big Wheel project were on site to give a hand with organising test drives and feedback from round table discussions. The Big Wheel is a campaign focussed on travel around Greater Nottingham using the sustainable network of trams, trains, buses, walking and cycling. It’s a positive force promoting cleaner air and healthier living.
We are proud to be based in a city with such impressive green credentials. Nottingham is always at the forefront of the green revolution!
